Indications

  • Non-weight bearing lower leg injuries

Contra Indications

Injuries at the knee level or higher (unless ACL injury,  treated with Cross Bracing Protocol)

  • Individuals with compromised strength or balance
  • Those with conditions affecting both legs
  • People weighing over 275 lbs / 124 kg / 19 st 10 lbs
  • Those with a thigh circumference exceeding 28 inches
  • Individuals unable to bend their injured leg at the knee by 90 degrees

Specifications

Leg length is crucial for a proper fit, though most people are unaware of their specific leg length.

  • Generally, the iWALK 3.0 is suitable for individuals between 4’10” and 6’6”.

For those at the extreme ends of this range, there's a high probability of compatibility but it will be subject to your specific leg proportions.

If you are between 4’10” and 5’1” or 6’2” and 6’6”, please check the sizing diagrams first to avoid disappointment.

For your safety and satisfaction, we need to ensure that this product is right for you before purchase. Please read the following and ensure you meet the criteria.

Ask yourself these questions:

  1. Were you able to walk unaided before your injury?
  2. Could you ascend or descend stairs without relying on a handrail for balance or support?
  3. Is the injury limited to one leg and below the knee?
  4. Can you bend your injured knee to 90 degrees?
  5. Is your uninjured leg fully functional?
  6. Do you meet the specified height and weight criteria?
  7. Is your upper thigh circumference 27 inches or less?
  8. And for below-knee amputees, is there at least 4 inches of residual
    limb?


If you or you patient meet these criteria, you're ready to move beyond traditional
crutches.
