Buchanan Orthotics Attends BAPO Regional Conference in Farnborough

A Great Opportunity to Connect with Colleagues and Learn About the Latest Innovations

Last week, Buchanan Orthotics was proud to be a part of the BAPO regional conference in Farnborough. The conference was a great opportunity for us to connect with colleagues from across the UK, learn about the latest innovations in prosthetics and orthotics, and showcase our own products and services.

Connecting with Colleagues

One of the highlights of the conference was the opportunity to catch up with old friends and meet new colleagues. We were particularly impressed with the energy and enthusiasm of the young professionals who were attending the conference. Clearly, the future of prosthetics and orthotics is in good hands.

Learning About the Latest Innovations

The conference also featured a number of presentations on the latest innovations in prosthetics and orthotics as well as stimulating chat with the clinicians in attendance.

Showcasing Our Products and Services

Buchanan Orthotics was also pleased to have the opportunity to showcase our latest products and services at the conference. We were particularly excited to introduce our new Dynamic Strut from Coyote in the USA.

It was also a pleasure to have representatives from Coyote exhibit with us all the way from the states. We also had the opportunity to demonstrate our stock insoles from Schein and Launch our new Ward boot and Slippers

Overall, we had a great time at the BAPO regional conference in Farnborough. We were impressed with the quality of the presentations and the level of enthusiasm from the attendees. We are confident that the future of prosthetics and orthotics is bright.

We would like to thank BAPO for organising such a successful conference. We look forward to attending the next conference in 2024.

In addition to the above, we would also like to add that we were particularly impressed with the following:

  • The keynote presentation by Dr. Gillian Rawlinson on the challenges and opportunities in educating the prosthetists and orthotists of the future.
  • The presentation by Beverley Harden, MBE on the prosthetic and orthotic workforce: challenges for the 21st century.
  • The presentation by David Vun on vision-based motion capture for the gait analysis of neurodegenerative diseases: a review.
